I have gambled on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of bankroll at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the game.

I still enjoy the game and wager on a regular basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get loaded with this tactic or defeat the house, nonetheless you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I lose I bet the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original value.

I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very fun on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very quickly. Before you know it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a few years back with $750 after 45 mins using this tactic! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!

You have to understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar wager

Wager 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar

Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar bet

Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the original $20 wager

Bet $20
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar

Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 40 dollar bet

Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 80 dollar

Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet

Bet $80
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total bet of $160

Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first 1 hundred and sixty dollar bet

If you left at this moment you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!

It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
