I have enjoyed millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have enjoyed online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the casino.

I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get loaded with this method or defeat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that blackjack appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the action back down to the original value.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling at times. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a number of years ago with $750 after 30 minutes using this method! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be astonished at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar table.

Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet

Wager five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10

Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager

Bet ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager

Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Bet $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 wager

Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total bet of $80

Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager

Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of 160 dollar

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager

If you departed at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and lower your bet or the final result will not be the same.
